Brazilian defender Lucio joins Sao Paulo a day after having his contract mutually terminated at Juventus.

Brazilian defender Lucio has joined Sao Paulo a day after leaving Juventus by mutual consent.

The 34-year-old joined the Turin outfit in the summer but has only made four appearances, two of those in the league and, in a statement, the Old Lady said that the centre-back's "adventure" was finished at the club.

Lucio has signed a two-year deal with Sao Paulo and the former Inter Milan and Bayern Munich man could resurrect his chances of featuring at a home World Cup in 18 months' time.
