Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester United could line up for Wednesday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has been dealt a devastating double suspension blow ahead of Wednesday's Premier League encounter with Arsenal at the Emirates.

The Red Devils ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Everton on Sunday, but Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the top-flight season, ruling them out of Wednesday's affair.

Jonny Evans (knock) and Victor Lindelof (groin) are also likely to miss the contest, but Amorim has affirmed that Bruno Fernandes is fine after he was seen with an ice pack on his ankle at the weekend.

In another slice of good news, the Man United boss is hopeful that Leny Yoro (foot) will finally make a matchday squad, although he has suggested that it will be too soon for him to start, so Harry Maguire is likely to fill the Martinez void.

Maguire should comprise part of an otherwise untouched backline of Andre Onana, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, as Luke Shaw has picked up a new muscular problem.

Diogo Dalot should therefore reprise his role at left wing-back, where he will do his utmost to keep Bukayo Saka quiet, while Amad Diallo's man-of-the-match display on Sunday warrants a start in North London.

Mason Mount would be an attack-minded option to replace Mainoo, but Amorim will likely side with the more defensive Manuel Ugarte to join forces with Casemiro, and the Portuguese has the best kind of selection dilemmas up front after Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford's braces on Sunday.

Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund are also fighting to return to the XI, and as Amorim has not been afraid to rotate his resources, he could promote both of them back to the attacking trident over Rashford and the stricken Fernandes.

Zirkzee demonstrated his class as both a playmaker and goalscorer in the Everton success, though, so the Dutchman may start as one of Amorim's number 10s behind the recalled Hojlund.

Manchester United possible starting lineup:
Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Maguire; Diallo, Casemiro, Ugarte, Dalot; Zirkzee, Fernandes; Hojlund
