How Rangers could line up against Hearts

Sports Mole looks at how Rangers could line up in this weekend's Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts.

Rangers will be looking to make it four straight Scottish Premiership wins when they travel to Hearts on Sunday afternoon.

Steven Gerrard's side have collected nine points from their last three matches to sit second, just two points off leaders Celtic. Hearts, meanwhile, are one point behind Rangers in third but have played one game more.

Rangers were in Europa League action against Villarreal on Thursday night, and a goalless draw against the La Liga side saw them drop to third in their group, although they are still in with a shout of making the knockout round.

The bread and butter of the league returns this weekend, and here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Rangers could line up at Tynecastle Park.

Gerrard made four changes to his starting XI for the Europa League clash with Villarreal. Andy Halliday and Gareth McAuley were among those to drop out, but both should return to the team for this match.

Leading scorer Alfredo Morelos will also continue at the tip of the attack, having been named on the bench against Livingston last weekend.

Daniel Candeias picked up a first-half red card against Villarreal, but the winger is expected to keep his position in the starting XI for this game.

Neither Ovie Ejaria nor Eros Grezda featured against Villarreal, but the former is expected to start in the middle of a five-man midfield.

Glenn Middleton has scored twice and registered two assists in seven league appearances for Rangers this term. The 18-year-old should keep his spot in a wide position with Ryan Kent still out with a hamstring problem.
