New Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim signs off as Sporting Lisbon manager with a 4-2 success over Braga in Portugal's top flight on Sunday evening.

Ruben Amorim signed off as Sporting Lisbon head coach with a 4-2 success over Braga on Sunday night, with the Green and Whites spectacularly coming from 2-0 behind to triumph in the Primeira Liga contest.

It did appear that it was going to be unhappy finish for Amorim, with Braga leading by two goals at the interval courtesy of a first-half brace from Ricardo Horta.

However, Hidemasa Morita made it 2-1 in the 58th minute, before the Lisbon giants netted three times in the latter stages to secure all three points and continue their incredible start to the campaign.

Morten Hjulmand came up with the leveller in the 81st minute, before substitute Conrad Harder netted a late brace, with the result moving Sporting six points clear at the top of the Primeira Liga table.

Amorim's time at Sporting has now officially come to an end, with the 39-year-old beginning his role as Manchester United head coach on Monday, although he is still waiting to be granted a visa.

Sporting have incredibly now won all 11 of their league matches this season, scoring 39 times in the process, while the Portuguese outfit are second in the overall Champions League table, picking up 10 points from four matches.

Amorim is taking over a Man United side that are currently 13th in the Premier League table, although the Red Devils are only four points off third-placed Chelsea and went unbeaten in their four matches under the leadership of interim head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
