Joao Felix reportedly signs the necessary paperwork to join AC Milan on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.

Chelsea forward Joao Felix has reportedly signed the necessary paperwork to finalise his loan move to AC Milan.

Felix only returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window, but is already set to depart after he failed to force his way into Enzo Maresca's plans.

The Portugal international has had to settle for just nine starts in 20 competitive appearances, contributing seven goals and two assists.

Earlier on deadline day, it was reported that Chelsea had given the go-ahead for Felix to join Milan on loan until the rest of the season.

The Italian giants are expected to pay a €5.5m (£4.57m) loan fee and pay the forward's wages in full during his time at San Siro.

Felix finalises Milan move

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Felix, Chelsea and Milan have all signed the necessary documents to make the loan switch official.

It is now just a matter of time until the Serie A club unveils the 25-year-old as the latest member of Sergio Conceicao's squad.

The Chelsea man is set to follow Santiago Gimenez through the door at Milan after the striker completed a permanent move from Feyenoord.

Felix will add to Milan's attacking options which include two former Chelsea players in Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham.

Milan are currently sitting in eighth place in the Serie A table, while they are competing in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals and the Champions League knockout rounds.
